Shoe Whore

It is no surprise that I am a lover of all things shopping.  I have recently been on somewhat of a shopping hiatus for the past month or so. With our Vegas trip booked, Brittney Spears tickets bought, and most recently Thunder From Down Under tickets purchased…a planner like me is only thinking about one thing: “but, what will I wear?” (gotta throw in a Grinch quote whenever possible.)

Do you see the dilemma yet? I have been planning- by planning I mean pinning cute things and gawking at online shops for outfits- for the past couple months all the while sticking to my shopping hiatus…until today.

Bryn and I ventured out of the house on Thursday because hello, it was above freezing outside and she needed to be worn out in hopes of finally taking a nap.  We met up with the bestie and baby Dot to begin the shoe hunt.  Long story short, I tried on a pair of killer heels that I couldn’t get off my mind and had to return to try them on again buy them today. I admit I am a shoe whore.  Heels are my absolute favorite because when you are already a giant (5’9”) it only makes sense to accentuate that fact.

First two purchases for Vegas= complete. Oh ya, I bought my dress for Brittney as well…see below.

These kicks have a way shorter heel than I would normally go for but the chunky gold zipper in the back makes up for that. (Have I mentioned I currently have a slight obsession with chunky zippers?!?) I also love an ankle strap…so much easier to walk around in.

My husband found it very amusing that the minute we got back from our shopping trip (a rare time when he needed pants and was willing to put up with my shopping so we could have a family outing) he opened the mail to find a $20 coupon to DSW, the place we had just bought the shoes from…oops!

I was also on the hunt today for a LBD (little black dress) for the Brittney concert and some fun shorts for a night out…one out of two ain’t bad.  I present you with the shortest dress I have ever owned/bought I’m pretty sure the dress code in Vegas is slutastic.

it looks sparkly but I assure you it isn’t….that will come in the accessories…

Another trend I have been crushing on is cutout necklines and this dress delivered for about $35 thanks to Macy’s.

I can’t even express how excited I am for this trip and to be celebrating these two crazy lovebirds’ upcoming wedding.
