Gatsby Style

I don’t know about you but I love a themed party.  I will tell you though, it is much more fun to go to a themed party when you have the luxury of buying the perfect outfit and accessories (I however will be sticking to the budget. Whenever I go to buy something these days the number $---,000 just smacks me in the face. Building a house is expensive and only gets more expensive when you randomly decide to add on another $10,000 room to that house.)

Anyway, tomorrow I will be hitting up the town Gatsby style with some of my ladies.  It sounds so exciting and so many great outfit ideas have been tossed around in my head.

Flapper Dresses

the lace and fringe bottoms…swooning

This here budget thing allows me to search my closet for something cute like the above dresses. What I got was a plain black dress and black heels that make me look like I came straight from the office.  My solution is to go hard on the accessories.  I will have a 1920’s-esque feather headband, some sort of cute necklace, and maybe some fishnets.

I am also going to attempt some sort of flapper curls.  If you know me, you know I can’t do hair.  This should be interesting.

Here’s hoping it all doesn’t turn up a hot mess.  Stay tuned, folks.
